add [ad] (v)
1. (often with to) to put (one thing) to or with
    (another): ေပါင္းသည္။ ေရာသည္။
    He added water to his whisky.
  ၀ီစကီခြက္၌ ေရေရာလိုက္သည္။
2. (often with to, together, up) to find the
    total of various numbers:
  ကိန္းဂဏန္းမ်ား၏ ေပါင္းလဒ္ကို   ရွာသည္။
    Add these figures together.
  ဤကိန္းဂဏန္းမ်ားကို ေပါင္းပါ။
    Add 124 to 356; ၁၂၄ကို   ၃၅၆ႏွင့္ ေပါင္းပါ။
    He added up the figures.
  ကိန္းမ်ားကို ေပါင္းလိုက္သည္။
3. to say something extra:
  ထပ္ေလာင္းေျပာသည္။
    He explained, and added that he
    was sorry. သူသည္   ရွင္းျပျပီးေနာက္ စိတ္မေကာင္း   ပါေၾကာင္း ထပ္ေလာင္းေျပာသည္။
4. (with to) to increase:
  တိုးပြားသည္။ မ်ားျပားသည္။
    His illness had added to their difficulties.
  သူတို႕ ရင္ဆိုင္ေနရေသာ   ျပႆနာမ်ားတြင္ သူ၏   နာမက်န္းျဖစ္မႈဒုကၡ   တစ္ရပ္တိုးလာသည္။
    ad'dition (n)
1. the act of adding: အေပါင္း။
    The child is not good at addition.
  ကေလးသည္ ကိန္းမ်ား   ေပါင္းျခင္းတြင္ ညံ့သည္။
2. something added: တိုးလာေသာ   အရာ။ ျဖည့္စြက္ခ်က္။
    They've had an addition to the family.
  သူတို႕တြင္ မိသားစု၀င္ တစ္ဦး   တိုးလာသည္။
    ad'ditional (adj)
  အပိုျဖည့္စြက္ထားေသာ။
