1. (often with up or over) to (cause to)
    catch one's foot and stumble or fall:
  ခလုတ္တိုက္သည္။
    She tripped and fell.
  သူခလုတ္တိုက္ျပီး လဲသြားသည္။
    She tripped over the carpet.
  ေကာ္ေဇာကို ခလုတ္တိုက္မိျပီး   လဲသြားသည္။
2. to walk with short, light steps:
  ေပါ့ပါးသြက္လက္ေသာ   ေျခလွမ္းျဖင့္ ေလွၽာက္သည္။
    She tripped happily along the road.
  သူသည္ လမ္းအတိုင္း   ျမဴးၾကြသြက္လက္စြာ   ခုန္ေပါက္သြားသည္။

    a journey or tour: ခရီး။
    She went on/took a trip to Paris.
  ပဲရစ္သုိ႕ ခရီးတစ္ေခါက္   ထြက္သည္။
    Note: A trip is a short journey.
       ခရီးတို။
              We take trips to the neighbourhood
              shop or supermarket but journeys to
              distant lands. trip, in the sense of
              travel, cannot be used as a verb.
              We cannot say,He tripped to the
              corner store to buy sugar, but we
              can say, He journeyed to far-off
              places. အနီး အနား၊ ဆိုင္၊        ေစ်းစသည္သုိ႕        ခဏတစ္ျဖဳတ္သြားရာ၌
              trip ကိုသံုးသည္။        ခရီးေ၀းမ်ားအတြက္
              journey ကိုသံုးသည္။        ခရီးသြားသည့္ သေဘာျဖင့္
              trip ကို ၾကိယာအျဖစ္        မသံုးႏိုင္ေသာ္လည္း
              journey ကိုမူ သံုးႏိုင္သည္။
